Heritage & Cultural Walks in Amer

Discover the hidden heritage of Amer with House of Amer’s Heritage and Cultural Walk—an evening journey through ancient temples, Rajput history, traditional rituals, local stories and the illuminated grandeur of Amer Fort.

Begin your evening with high tea at House of Amer, the historic residence of Bakshi Ji, the Treasurer and Commander of the Jaipur Darbar. Set against panoramic views of Amber Fort, the experience begins with an introduction to the history and heritage of Amer.

From here, explore the first Kachwaha palace, dating back approximately 1,100 years, and discover stories of early Rajput architecture and dynastic history.

Continue to the 500-year-old Kabir Bihari Das Ji Temple to experience its evening rituals and timeless traditions.

At the 1,200-year-old Keshav Rai Ji Temple, enjoy traditional tea with the priest’s family while hearing stories of the temple, its heritage and local village customs.

As twilight sets in, visit Panna Meena Ka Kund, one of Rajasthan’s iconic stepwells, and admire its distinctive geometric design and peaceful atmosphere.

The walk also includes a meditation and culture session led by a temple priest, followed by a conversation exploring Hindu philosophy and Rajasthani traditions.

As night falls, stroll through the illuminated outer compound of Amer Fort, where the historic architecture takes on a striking new character under the night lights.

The journey continues with a brief visit to the beautiful Meera Bai Ji Temple, offering a moment to reflect on Meera Bai’s timeless devotion and music, before concluding at Sheela Mata Temple, where guests can witness the devotion surrounding the goddess. HoA Heritage and cultural .pdf
